Atlassian is seeking a Back End Software Engineer to deliver creative improvements for our engineering teams. This fully remote role requires you to be located in US Pacific or Mountain time zones.

You will build REST APIs powering core experiences, configure monitoring, create CI/CD pipelines, and integrate with the content management system, focusing on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.
• Experience working with Git in a collaborative team setting.
• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
• Experience working with an enterprise content management system and cloud platforms like AWS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Pay Ranges

Role

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

• Zone A: $150,300 - $196,225
• Zone B: $135,270 - $176,603
• Zone C: $124,749 - $162,867

Qualifications

Your background:

• 2+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.
• A background in working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.
• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
• A love for working collaboratively on a team with varied strengths. If you've got these skills, even better:
• Experience working with an enterprise content management system - Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS
• Java experience
• Freemarker experience
• Rust experience
