Bainbridge Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and data workflows. You will work across Go, Python, SQL, and related tooling to advance our roadmap for healthcare data integrations.
You'll collaborate in a regulated environment, participate in peer reviews, and use cloud and on-prem deployments, OpenAPI, and CI/CD to ship reliable software that protects patient safety and improves care outcomes.

Build and maintain reliable backend services, integrations, and data workflows that advance the roadmap in a compliant, supportable, and operationally sound manner.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our impact on patient safety. You will:
Design, build, and maintain backend services and integrations using Go, Python, SQL, and related tooling.
Deliver roadmap work tied to Care Everywhere and BD/IKP integration updates.
Troubleshoot production issues, resolve bugs, and improve dependency hygiene and operational maintainability.
Write clear, well-tested code and participate actively in peer review and technical planning.
Use cloud and shell-based tooling to support deployment, diagnostics, automation, and system operations.
Programming languages: Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, and SQL; experience with JavaScript is a plus.
Operating Systems & Cloud: Linux (Debian) expertise; GCP (Kubernetes/GKE, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, BigQuery) experience.
Engineering Practices: Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and build tools (e.g., Please, Bazel, Buck, or Pants).
Architecture & APIs: Experience building web services using OpenAPI.
Healthcare & Regulated Environments: Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries where security, privacy (e.g., HIPAA), and multi-tenant platform familiarity are critical.
Operational Experience: Familiarity with on-prem deployments (Windows/RDBMS) and data integration/engineering tooling.
