If you want your code to matter the moment a customer asks for a quote, this is that role. Our team builds and runs the backend services behind personal lines underwriting and pricing — the APIs and rules engines that evaluates a customer's information and turns it into a risk decision (Accept, Reject, or Pause). You'll work in Java and Spring Boot on event-driven microservices, own your services end to end from design through production support, and help modernize a platform that's actively moving from monoliths to microservices. You'll also have room to grow — mentoring teammates, shaping technical direction, and using modern AI-assisted development tooling to work more effectively.

Candidate will be at the forefront of API development, focusing on designing, implementing, and modifying RESTful and event-driven APIs that integrate seamlessly with our platform components. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will tackle complex technical challenges and deliver robust solutions that meet the diverse needs of our stakeholders.

In this position, you will be part of a mature Agile development team responsible for analyzing requirements, developing high-quality APIs, and ensuring that they adhere to best practices in API design and security. You will have the opportunity to participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
