Job summary

Maximus seeks a Software Developer (Backend) to support the USAF mission with back-end design, RESTful APIs, database management, and data model optimization. This remote role requires TS/SCI clearance and may include 10-20% travel.

The position is contingent on award and falls under Maximus TCS project codes. Minimum qualifications include 7+ years in software development, strong experience with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers, and familiarity with Jira and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent back-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development/communication, and system integrations.
• 3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly required.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

The Software Developer (Backend) provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Shall perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, developing back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations, RESTful API development and modification, database management, and data model development and optimization.

This role is contingent upon award.

This is a remote position and requires a TS/SCI clearance.
