Job Details

This role focuses on building and scaling the backend infrastructure that powers a rapidly growing platform. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to develop reliable distributed systems and deliver production-ready services that support ongoing growth.

Location: New York, NY 10001 · On-site · (1 day remote) No travel required

Platform Engineering Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services


• Build and maintain distributed systems supporting production applications


• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions


• Troubleshoot complex platform issues across services and environments


• Collaborate with product, support, and customer teams to deliver new capabilities


• Evaluate and introduce new frameworks or technologies when beneficial


• Write secure, production-ready code aligned with industry best practices


• Maintain high documentation standards for systems and services

Technical Background

• 5+ years backend engineering experience


• Distributed systems development


• Advanced Python development


• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred)


• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred)


• Strong computer science fundamentals


• Experience debugging complex system bottlenecks


• Ability to independently deliver projects from concept through deployment
