Clay is seeking a backend product engineer to own the systems behind the parts of Clay used daily by customers. You will own a surface end to end, deciding what to build with design and GTM partners, shipping quickly, and watching real customers use it.

You will wear both a PM hat and an engineering hat, tackling meaningful problems and balancing product decisions with engineering execution. Join a fast-moving team that values creativity and impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on engineering experience building products

Responsibilities

• Own a product surface end to end from problem definition through shipped, measured outcome.
• Wear the PM hat and define specs with design, data science, and GTM partners.
• Talk to customers directly and observe real usage to inform decisions.
• Ship fast with small teams and short cycles; prioritize real customer impact.
• Build scalable data models, APIs, and jobs behind new product capabilities.
• Improve performance and reliability of Clay and raise development velocity.
• Mentor and learn from other engineers to grow the team.
