Job summary
Zebra is seeking a senior software engineer to analyze, design, develop, and maintain software for our products and systems. This role involves system integration of software and hardware to ensure consistency, reliability, and throughput, with minimal supervision in a hybrid on-site position at our Lincolnshire, IL office for at least three days a week.
The ideal candidate has deep Java experience, Spring Boot microservices, and hands-on CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and PostgreSQL.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree.
- Experience in programming using Java and developing microservices using Spring Boot; CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GKE; PostgreSQL.
- Equivalency: Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Establishes requirements for highly complex software design projects and defines scope.
- Architects and designs software for highly complex systems.
- Leads and participates in all phases of software development projects.
- Conducts and oversees code reviews to improve quality.
- Develops innovative programs and documents methodologies for reuse.
- Provides technical leadership across engineering disciplines.
- Designs and develops advanced tools to solve complex challenges.
- Fosters cross-company collaboration and coordinates with stakeholders.
