Job summary

Stand8 Technology Consulting in New York, NY seeks a backend engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-based services and data pipelines for video streaming and content delivery. You will optimize throughput and latency while supporting live events and channels, and maintain content delivery platforms.

You will collaborate with product owners and distributed teams on deployments, testing, and service improvements in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field.
At least three years of software development experience with backend and web technologies.
Proficiency in AWS, large-scale low-latency distributed systems, CI/CD, containerization, OO design and Agile methods; video delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate cloud-based distributed backend services and large-scale data pipelines for video streaming and content delivery.
Optimize throughput, latency, and video workflows.
Support live events and channels, maintain content delivery platforms.
