Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Back End Go Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for enterprise applications. You will collaborate across product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes Go expertise, REST/gRPC, microservices, and cloud/containerization with CI/CD practices. Ideally based in Detroit, MI or Lowell, MA, this is a fast-paced, hands-on engineering position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Go (Golang).
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience building microservices and event-driven applications.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Go (Golang).
• Collaborate with product owners, software architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Develop scalable and maintainable microservices and distributed applications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven integrations.
• Build secure, performant backend systems adhering to architecture standards.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
