Job summary

Palantir Technologies is seeking Backend Software Engineers to build high‑performance, scalable backend services used in data‑driven decision platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain core systems, APIs, and data processing pipelines while collaborating with diverse teams to deliver reliable, low‑latency solutions.

You will work across languages (Java, C++, Python, Rust, Go) and modern tooling (Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes) in a fast‑paced CI/CD

Qualifications

• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar field.
• Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and developing features and maintaining live backend systems.
• In‑depth understanding of data structures, system architecture, and APIs for microservices.
• Ability to iterate quickly with teammates and maintain high quality.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend services for data and AI systems.
• Contribute to guidelines, code reviews, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Build robust APIs and interface with front‑end development and external systems.
• Design efficient data structures and algorithms for large‑scale, high‑throughput data.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability through performance analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve user workflows across product boundaries.
