Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; attention to code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-documented code.
• Design, develop and optimize databases and data-access layers.
• Integrate backend systems with third-party APIs and services.
• Implement authentication, authorization and data-security controls.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and performance testing.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure effective API integration.
• Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical documentation and solution design.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and technical discussions.
• Maintain version control and development workflows using Git.
• Support continuous improvement of development processes, tools and standards.
