Job summary

Mercor in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join a small, product-driven team building backend systems for leading AI companies. Youll own projects end-to-end, from design to production, writing production-grade code and weighing tradeoffs that impact customers and business outcomes.

Youll work with product and design to move fast while upholding high standards for scalability and simplicity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go or JavaScript.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
• Curiosity and passion for AI and startups.
• Excited to work in person in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end: design, build and ship production systems.
• Write production-grade code and reason about systems holistically.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to move fast while maintaining quality.
