What the Infra Engineering team does

The team supports Deel engineering growth and builds a platform for product teams to ship value faster. Deel is at a position where we need the platform but are still building it. There is a dedicated DevOps team, and we work on the edge between DevOps and engineering by enforcing standards, creating tooling, maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance, owning high-loaded core services, and responding to production incidents when needed. It is about 70% Engineering and 30% DevOps. We have a lot of freedom, but it comes with responsibility.

Who are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of engineering experience

  • Strong node.js knowledge

  • AWS or similar cloud experience

  • Kubernetes, Helm and Docker knowledge

  • Experience with Postgres/MySQL, RabbitMQ/Nats/Kafka

  • Strong system design and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple teams

  • Hands-on troubleshooter

  • You're ready for challenges

  • Have experience building internal tooling: npm packages, frameworks
