Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain medium complexity applications under general supervision. You’ll work with engineers, product owners, and security teams to deliver features from the backlog, write unit tests, and document your work.

The role supports a hybrid schedule in VA/SC with occasional on-call rotation. Applicants should have 2-3+ years of programming or analysis experience, familiarity with AI-assisted development, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of programming or systems analysis experience.
• Ability to apply rapidly changing technology to business needs.
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts and AI-assisted development tools.
• Assist or provide support for server administration and patching.
• Ability to create PowerShell scripts for task automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain medium complexity applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Engineers, and Security teams to deliver features from backlog.
• Perform unit testing and test automation where applicable.
• Create project and product artefacts and provide support documentation.
