Job summary

Ketch is seeking a backend engineer to build and run large-scale systems in cloud-native environments from San Francisco. You will work on server-side components in Golang, interact with diverse data stores, and help shape a secure, scalable microservice architecture.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, own deployment pipelines, and focus on performance and reliability. This role offers equity, benefits, and a hybrid work setup in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Experience building production backend services in Golang or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems and data modeling.
• Experience deploying in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficient with CI/CD and automation to improve developer experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes deployments.
• 1–3 years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions to solve our enterprise customers’ data privacy and security problems at scale.
• Take ownership of what you build, improving and scaling it over time.
• Develop server-side components in Golang and interface with data stores.
• Co-own a secure, fault-tolerant microservice architecture and evolve it.
• Master data security and data protection techniques and apply them.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand use cases and end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure SaaS production system reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Keep up with new technologies and contribute to open source communities.
