Qualifications

• 2–10+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships or co-ops).
• Strong coding skills in any programming language.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across workstreams.
• Autonomy with responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Interest in backend specialization across varying technologies and stacks.

Responsibilities

• Build and design next-generation Stripe products to meet growth needs.
• Debug and solve critical production issues across services and stack levels.
• Mentor engineers to help them grow.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build features at large scale and improve tooling.
• Work effectively in a distributed, hybrid team with open communication.
