BJAK is expanding its AI Finance Agent platform and seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build core systems, APIs, and workflows that scale across markets and serve millions of users. You will collaborate with product, mobile, and operations teams to deliver secure, reliable financial services.

The role emphasizes building auditable, scalable backend infrastructure for a regulated fintech environment, with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.
• Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
• Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality, and operational edge cases.
• Able to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality, and risk.
• Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations, and business teams.
• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank app.
• Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel, and financial services.
• Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operations.
• Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers, and other partners.
• Improve system reliability, observability, security, and performance.
• Build systems that are practical, auditable, and ready for regulated financial products.
