Job summary

Dispatch is seeking a backend engineer to build and scale our integration infrastructure. You will work closely with the staff backend engineer on data mapping, syncing, and platform reliability while expanding integrations across the wealth tech ecosystem.

You will own end-to-end backend features, collaborate with product and design, and help unlock scalable data orchestration for customers’ tech stacks. Strong experience in APIs, databases, and distributed systems is required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of backend engineering experience
• Strong fundamentals in API design and data modeling
• Experience with relational databases and distributed systems
• Curious and eager to learn unfamiliar integrations
• Bias toward action and ownership
• Strong cross-functional communication
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with autonomy
• Interest in AI tools and prompting

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party financial systems
• Tackle data mapping and synchronization challenges across diverse schemas
• Develop scalable backend features and services from design to deployment
• Improve platform reliability and observability
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver robust experiences
• Create reusable integration patterns and tooling to accelerate new connections
