Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking a Software Engineer, Data & Applied AI in New York to build backend services, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows supporting investment research and operations. You will collaborate with investors and technical leads to design and deploy impactful solutions for complex workflows.

This role focuses on Python backend development, ETL pipelines, and integrating external data vendors, with mentorship and ownership from inception to production.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of software engineering experience with backend and data-intensive apps.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; relational databases and data modeling.
• Experience with Git, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure, Docker, and FastAPI is advantageous.
• Knowledge of applied AI workflows including LLM APIs and agents is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning in software engineering and AI enablement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python backend services, APIs, databases, and integrations for investment and operational workflows.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality.
• Integrate external data vendors and internal systems to streamline data ingestion.
• Build lightweight internal applications for investment and operational users to enhance productivity.
• Develop applied AI workflows, including LLM APIs, agents, and evaluation systems.
• Ensure workflows are secure, reliable, and maintainable, following best practices.
• Collaborate with users to translate problems into technical solutions and refine systems post-deployment.
• Document systems and provide ongoing support to ensure operational success.
