Constructor.io is seeking a backend engineer to help scale our in-house search and discovery platform for ecommerce. You will work on high-traffic systems, contribute to deployment automation, and improve observability.

You'll join the Core Team, work remotely from the US, and earn a base salary between $80k and $120k USD plus stock options. We value rigorous engineering and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in computer science including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and systems design.
• Experience building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability backend systems.
• Experience designing and operating backend infrastructure, including deployment automation, capacity planning, and observability.
• Comfortable working across different layers of the stack, from performance-critical code to production operations.
• Enjoy learning new technologies in a fast-moving, large-scale environment.
• Collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, ownership-driven team culture.
