Job summary

Legiguard is seeking an engineer to design policy evaluation pipelines and integrate with GitHub/GitLab apps, webhooks, and CI systems. You’ll develop secrets/PII detection with tunable policies and verifiable outputs while providing safe auto-remediation and developer feedback.

You will own reliability SLIs/SLOs, instrument metrics, and contribute to runbooks and changelogs. Collaboration with design will ensure clear, humane error messages across UI surfaces.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in building reliable services with Go or Python.
• Experience with gRPC/HTTP APIs and asynchronous/job processing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with policy tooling (OPA/Rego) or secure coding practices.

• Design robust policy evaluation pipelines with clear failure modes and retries.
• Integrate with GitHub/GitLab apps, webhooks, and CI providers to enforce checks.

• Publish crisp changelogs and runbooks; make operations easy to reason about.
• Partner with design on humane error messages and review UI surfaces.

What helps you succeed

• Strong Go or Python experience building reliable services.
• Comfort with gRPC/HTTP APIs, background jobs, and idempotent processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and containerization (Docker).
• Security or policy experience (OPA/Rego, custom linters, scanners) or eagerness to learn.
• Observability mindset: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards.
• Clear writing; you can explain complex systems simply.
