Job summary

Jobs for Humanity is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and optimize services using Python frameworks like Django or FastAPI. You will work with PostgreSQL/MySQL, implement microservices with Docker and Kubernetes, and manage background tasks with Redis, Celery, and RabbitMQ.

AI features using OpenAI API, Hugging Face, and LangChain are part of the role. You will collaborate on RAG-enabled solutions and vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant), and deploy in AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Python and frameworks (Django/FastAPI).
• Strong PostgreSQL/MySQL database design and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, and RabbitMQ for background processing.
• AI integration experience with OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain.
• Hands-on with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Familiarity with vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
