Job summary

FAIRTIQ AG is seeking a Backend Engineer to help scale our global platform. You will design, implement and test features across the backend stack with focus on performance, resilience and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services at scale.

The role requires 3+ years of backend experience, strong software design and large-scale system skills, plus excellent English. We offer fully remote work, an international team, and opportunities for growth.

Job description

As a Backend Engineer you have the opportunity to work on our entire software stack and expand your knowledge about state-of-the art software engineering. When you design software you will have to think about scalability, caching, distributed persistence and resilience in order to build high quality systems. You’ll design, implement and test new features and improve the existing code.

Our Technology Profile

• Architecture principles: Microservices, Continuous delivery, Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal architecture, Zero downtime;
• Programming languages we use: Java - Backend development, Python - Backend scripts / prototypes;
• Data stores: MongoDB, Redis;
• API / Messaging: Rest / JSON, RabbitMQ, Kafka;

Role Responsibilities

Recruitment process:

• Screening interview with Pedro (from the People Team): ~45minutes;
• Tech Screening + Coding interview: 90 minutes;
• System Design interview: 60 minutes;
• Software Design interview: 60 minutes.
