Job description

We’re building a new product focused on Bitcoin management and usability, delivered through an outstanding digital experience.

Our broader ambition is to promote self-custody, decentralization, privacy, and security as real product and design principles, not just slogans.

The app is already deep into development. The design system is complete, the infrastructure is live, and both desktop and mobile clients are well underway. We’re looking for someone to take ownership of the backend, keep it lean and reliable, and help shape what comes next.

What you’ll do

• Maintain and extend lightweight backend services (Node.js, REST APIs)
• Support mobile app features (wallet sync, mempool data, notifications)
• Securely integrate with Bitcoin and Lightning APIs
• Potentially develop new infrastructure (e.g., miner dashboards, push services, stat indexing)
• Contribute to product direction and technical decisions with autonomy and care

What we’re looking for

• Strong backend fundamentals (Node.js, TypeScript, REST architecture)
• Experience working with APIs and external services (auth, payments, data providers)
• Familiarity with Bitcoin or eagerness to go deep
• Comfort working independently in a focused, async workflow
• A clear sense of craft, caution, and long-term thinking

Bonus points

• Experience running a Bitcoin full node or self-hosting services
• Interest in solo mining or open-source mining gear
• Past work on crypto, wallets, or privacy-focused software
• Enthusiasm for NOSTR and digital identity models
