As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the AI-driven infrastructure that powers our application processing, document verification, and automated customer interactions. You will design and optimize APIs, integrate machine learning tools, and build scalable systems that handle real-time status updates, automated assistance, and seamless application tracking.

This role requires expertise in Nest.js, database management, and API architecture, as well as the ability to integrate AI-powered workflows that enhance customer experience. You’ll also work on expanding our network integrations, supporting our hand-carry courier marketplace for expedited passport processing and growing vehicle registration partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize APIs to support AI-driven automation.

Integrate AI-powered workflows to assist customers in document submission, accuracy verification, reminders, and real-time updates.

Enhance authentication and security to protect sensitive government-related data.

Build and maintain database systems to ensure high-speed processing.

Automate backend processes for form automation.

Deploy and manage AI-enhanced customer support tools, ensuring smooth communication between customers, agencies, and our marketplace partners.

Monitor and optimize performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of our backend services.

Develop API integrations with our expanding partner network, streamlining government interactions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and integrate new AI-driven services and predictive automation tools.

Requirements

Core Technical Skills

Experience integrating OpenAI and AWS-based AI tools into backend systems.

Ability to build AI-powered customer workflows
