Freedom Technology Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to support intelligence analysis products and capabilities. You will design, develop, modernize, and sustain applications, driving automation and efficiency through agile practices and modern tech stacks.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, high-performance services, and CI/CD using GitLab. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage Docker/Kubernetes, Java, Linux, and AWS tools to deliver robust software

Qualifications

• TS/SCI eligible for CI Poly.
• 9–13 years backend software development experience.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Experience using GitLab for source repo and GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in two or more: Python, FastAPI, React.js, Web services, PostgreSQL, AWS.
• Experience developing customized code, scripts, modules, or libraries for spatial analysis using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, C, C++, C#, Perl, or similar.

This position involves providing software development capabilities to enhance existing and emerging client capabilities, including design and development, modernization of existing applications and services, and operations and sustainment. The role focuses on driving the client’s adaptation of higher levels of automation and operational efficiency through agile development methodologies, rapid prototyping, and modern technology stacks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modernize, and maintain software applications and services

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with clients or stakeholders to develop user stories for full-service consumer and business applications
• Experience with government and/or commercial imagery products, including SAR or related RADAR imaging technologies
• Experience working with and developing geospatial information systems (GIS) with open-source and proprietary geospatial formats
• Experience using and developing with common geospatial tools, data, and operating platforms such as:
  • Tools: Boundless Spatial suite, Remote View, PostGRES/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Image Server, File Geodatabases.
  • Data Formats: KML, KMZ, NITF, TIFF, JPEG, GeoPDF, and similar geo-related formats and data structures
  • Operating Platforms: ESRI, OpenGeo Suite, or similar
• Experience abstracting new or legacy systems via standards-based APIs, including Open Geospatial Consortium standards
• Experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Developing terrain analysis visualization and algorithms
  • Developing automated detection algorithms
  • Experience with Argo Workflows
• Certified Scrum Master
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
