Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-critical intelligence analysis and geospatial data exploitation. You will develop analytical models, statistical methodologies, and data-driven solutions that transform large, complex datasets into actionable intelligence.

• Active TS/SCI clearance (eligible for CI Poly)
• 1-3 (Junior), 3–7 (Journeyman), 8-11 (Senior), >12 years in software development or related roles
• Experience with customers or stakeholders in technical or mission environments
• Strong communication and coordination across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Experience using GitLab or similar tools for collaboration and tracking

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical and analytical models for structured and unstructured datasets
• Perform exploratory data analysis and identify patterns and anomalies
• Design feature engineering strategies for AI/ML models
• Analyze imagery metadata, geospatial data, and operational datasets
• Evaluate model accuracy and continuously improve performance
• Collaborate with software engineers to operationalize analytical capabilities
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings
• Document methodologies and present results to mission stakeholders
• Support computer vision, NLP, and geospatial AI initiatives
• Gather, document, and refine customer requirements, including data mapping and integration needs
• Assist in implementing integration solutions with the development team
• Facilitate communication to ensure timely requirements execution
• Ensure activities align with processes, standards, and mission objectives
• Contribute to documentation of processes, integration patterns, and lessons learned

You will develop analytical models, statistical methodologies, and data-driven solutions that transform large, complex datasets into actionable intelligence.

Working alongside software engineers, cloud architects, and mission analysts, you will design models that improve discovery, correlation, prediction, and operational decision making across secure cloud environments.

This is a hands‑on role requiring curiosity, analytical rigor, and the ability to translate mission problems into scalable analytical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop statistical and analytical models for structured and unstructured datasets
• Perform exploratory data analysis and identify meaningful patterns and anomalies
• Design feature engineering strategies for AI/ML models
• Analyze imagery metadata, geospatial data, and operational datasets

• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Experience using GitLab or similar tools for collaboration and tracking
