The GARRETT GROUP seeks a Journeyman-level Backend Developer with active TS/SCI clearance to support joint military environments and intelligence-enabled processes. You will craft robust backend solutions, analyze data, and collaborate across distributed teams.

You'll drive automation, data management, cloud modernization, and information sharing capabilities, leveraging O365, SharePoint, and security best practices while communicating complex concepts to senior government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of data analysis and backend development experience.
• Experience with DoD networks, websites, and intelligence-related processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint 2019 / M365 or later.
• Experience administering web services for IM/KM functions.
• Willingness to train customers and produce documentation such as SOPs and flowcharts.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior government officials.

Position Overview

The Garrett Group is seeking a Journeyman-level Backend Developer with strong Subject Matter Expert experience in Data Analysis and Back-End Development to support joint military environments and intelligence-related business processes. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter who works independently with minimal oversight and consistently delivers complete, well‑crafted technical solutions. This role supports automation, application integration, data management, cloud modernization, and information‑sharing functions across geographically dispersed organizations.

General Qualifications -

Candidate must possess and demonstrate at least three years of experience in the following areas:

• Conducting customer surveys to gather feedback and requirements to improve processes, applications, information sharing, and collaboration across distributed teams.
• Analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting technical issues related to web development, web page rendering, latency, and authentication/access problems.
• Performing administrative duties in a joint military environment with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and SharePoint 2019 / M365 or later. Experience administering web services supporting IM/KM functions is required.
• Training and educating customer bases on existing and newly implemented applications, including producing documentation such as training materials, SOPs, and flowcharts.
• Using technology to streamline unique business processes in support of organizational effectiveness. Experience with IM/KM intelligence tools, processes, and activities is highly desired.
• Communicating with senior-ranking government and military officials, with demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clearly understandable terms.

Specific Qualifications

Candidate must demonstrate at least three years of Journeyman-level experience in the following:

• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Data Analysis and Backend Development, working independently, flexibly, and communicating effectively in both written and oral formats.
• Supporting office and business process automation using productivity tools such as O365 to collate data and streamline workflows.
• Using web design and development tools including Notepad++, SharePoint Designer, or similar tools. Working knowledge of Visual Studio is a plus.
• Managing data security on DoD classified networks for both client-side and server-side applications.
• Implementing authentication security features and protocols in new or existing projects.
• Creating, updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications in cloud-based environments. Security+ certification is highly desired.
• Integrating data from two or more data sources into a single dashboard with filterable, searchable, and user‑friendly features.
