Job summary

42Q is seeking a backend developer to design and build reliable solutions for clients in manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Linux environment using C++ and strong SQL query experience.

You will create new backend applications, interface between systems, and deploy to AWS cloud services while collaborating with a team of experienced developers in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-level system.
• Strong C++ skills in a Linux environment.
• Relational database design, management and SQL coding.
• Experience with SVN/GIT, CI/CD pipeline, PostgreSQL, and web services is a plus.
• Experience with a range of AWS services is a plus.
• Proficiency in multicore/multithreaded application development.
• C/C++ embedded software development is a plus.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

Education And Experience

• Bachelor or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-level system
• Must be strongly skilled with C++ in a Linux environment
• Strong knowledge of relational database design, database management and SQL coding are required
• Experience with source code version control (SVN/GIT), CI/CD pipeline, prior work with PostgreSQL, and experience with web services is a plus
• Experience with a range of AWS services is a plus
• Proficiency in Multicore/Multithreaded application development
• Experience with C/C++ embedded software development is considered a plus
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
