Job summary

IBM in Houston is seeking a Back-End Developer Intern 2027 to contribute to firmware, hypervisors, operating systems, and AI hardware enablement for the IBM Power systems. You’ll join a team of creators who turn imagination into action, collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable software in a hybrid internship.

The role targets students with a high school diploma or GED and preferred bachelor’s degree, with projects that emphasize low-level coding, data structures, and API

Qualifications

Python or C/C++ programming demonstrated via school projects, internships, and/or coursework.
Strong interest in working in low level coding (close to hardware), operating system and application development
Data structures/Software Design
Excellent communications/documentation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
