This position is on-site in Norfolk, VA. The Backend Data Engineer will design and build scalable data pipelines, integrate legacy systems, and prepare enterprise data for reporting and analytics. Responsibilities for the Backend Data Engineer include:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Connect and ingest data from legacy systems, SQL databases, and disparate data sources
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, staging, aggregation, and repository management
• Optimize backend data architecture to support Power BI and other enterprise reporting platforms
• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to ensure reliable and accurate data delivery

Required Qualifications for the Backend Data Engineer include:

• 3-4 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and enterprise data pipeline development
• Experience integrating legacy systems, performing ETL processes, and managing data repositories
• Experience with Azure cloud environments and enterprise data transformation methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Secret Clearance required
• Security+ Certification (IAT Level II) required

Compensation for the Backend Data Engineer includes:

Salary Range: ~$100,000 annually depending on experience
