Job summary

ThreePeaks Ascent is seeking Field Guides to support wilderness therapy programs in Utah. You will oversee groups of at-risk teenagers, guiding them through backcountry living, outdoor skill-building, and reflective activities in a safe, supervised setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Must obtain 1st Aid & CPR certification within first month of employment.
• 19+ years of age; eligible to work in the USA.
• Able to pass criminal background check and health assessment.

Responsibilities

• Field Guides work 8 consecutive days in the backcountry with teens.
• Ensure supervision and safety of students.
• Mentor students in primitive and outdoor skills.
• Assist students in curriculum work.
• Share appreciation and knowledge of nature and the outdoors.
• Lead group discussions and facilitate emotional processing.
• Provide feedback to coworkers during shifts.
• Carry essential gear and follow all policies and laws.
