Job summary

The National Park Service seeks a Maintenance Worker (Trails) in the Flagstaff Area National Monuments to perform, at the sub-journeyman level, trail construction and maintenance projects including water bars, rock steps, drainage structures and signs. Duty station may be distant from park headquarters with overnight stays in backcountry.

You will work under supervision to complete trail work, with knowledge of carpentry, masonry and use of hand tools, and you must be able to read instructions

Qualifications

• Ability to perform intermediate trail construction and maintenance tasks (water bars, rock steps, drainage structures, signs).
• Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, and use of hand tools in trail work.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications, and blueprints.
