Description

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Back Up Machine Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Day Shift.

As a Back Up Machine Operator, this candidate will be responsible for supplying production lines with packaging materials, transporting skids of finished product to the warehouse, and operating barrel filling lines, rod machines, and labelers. This position works Friday to Sunday, 5:55 AM – 5:55 PM.

Responsibilities

• Supply production lines with needed materials.
• Place skids of cardboard and barrels at tables and packing stations.
• Use forklift or hand jack to transport skids of finished product to warehouse.
• Operate barrel filling lines, rod machines, and labelers.
• Assist warehouse personnel with loading trucks and unloading incoming materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform quality and food safety tasks related to the position.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Knowledge and skills related to operating barrel filling lines, rod machines, and labelers.
• Able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
• Forklift license required.
• Wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
