Kriete Truck Centers in Madison, WI seeks a Back Parts Counter Associate for the 2nd shift to deliver fast, accurate parts service to our shop floor and support diesel technicians.

You will identify parts, track inventory with the parts manager, and maintain an organized counter while participating in paid OEM training and earning benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license with clean record.
• Detail-oriented with pride in accuracy of parts orders.
• Solid computer literacy; able to learn dealer management and OEM catalog software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience in parts sales, inventory management, or warehouse logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep Techs Moving: Deliver fast, accurate parts service to our shop floor to minimize technician downtime.
• Problem-Solve: Assist mechanics in selecting the correct parts and ensure correct components are used.
• Track Inventory: Work with the parts manager to track usage, back-orders and prevent shortages.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Keep Techs Moving: Deliver fast, accurate parts service to our shop floor to minimize technician downtime.
• Problem-Solve: Assist mechanics in selecting the correct parts, identifying compatible components, and catching any extra gaskets or seals needed for the job.
• Track Inventory: Partner with the parts manager to track usage, manage back-orders, and proactively prevent parts shortages.
• Own Your Space: Maintain a highly organized, clean parts counter area so inventory is easy to locate and free from damage.
• Stay Sharp: Participate in paid manufacturer training to keep your product and OEM software knowledge razor-sharp.

What You Bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail—you take pride in getting the parts order right the first time.
• Solid computer literacy; ability to quickly learn dealer management and OEM catalog software.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
• Prior experience in parts sales, inventory management, or warehouse logistics is preferred, but a motivated attitude and strong communication skills are what matter most!
