Back Office Medical Assistant-Travel Team (Northern Region)

Join to apply for the Back Office Medical Assistant-Travel Team (Northern Region) role at Pacific Dermatology Institute.

Location: Travel to clinics in Apple Valley, Victorville, San Bernardino, Redlands.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Office Manager with back-office operations.
  2. Report employer liability issues or patient complaints promptly.
  3. Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and trays for procedures.
  4. Verify patient information and ensure consent forms and photos are completed.
  5. Support providers during medical and surgical procedures.
  6. Prepare patients for tests and obtain signed consent for procedures.
  7. Document patient information accurately in the EMR system.
  8. Administer injections, remove sutures, and assist with procedures.
  9. Maintain logs for biopsies, sterilization, and supplies.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Program (National Certification).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical clinic, dermatology experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid Certification.
  • Proficiency with medical equipment and EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to lift 25-45 pounds and travel up to 90%.
