Back in Motion, an Alliance Physical Therapy Partner, is looking for a full-time Rehab Tech (Physical Therapy Aide) to join our team!

Summary:

Functions under the general supervision of the Clinic Director, and under the direct supervision of the therapists and therapist assistants. The Rehabilitation Technician is responsible for preparing and cleaning treatment areas, obtaining supplies, transporting, positioning, and assisting patients/clients, therapists, and therapist assistants in completing the therapy treatment plan. The technician may also be assigned routine clerical tasks to support the front office. All functions are performed in accordance with facility, departmental, regulatory, and payor policies and procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides care according to the physician’s orders and the plan of care developed by evaluating the therapist.
  2. Transports patients/clients to and from Rehabilitation Services departments.
  3. Prepares patients/clients for treatment and assists professional staff with treatments.
  4. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote optimal care benefits.
  5. Obtains equipment, materials, and supplies from storage or relevant departments and prepares them for use.
  6. Maintains therapy departments in a clean and orderly condition.
  7. Performs routine clerical tasks, including reception, telephone duties, billing, supply ordering, and collecting department statistics.
  8. Creates a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  9. Assesses safety risks and implements appropriate precautions.
  10. Adheres to security and safety standards.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior healthcare experience or current physical therapy student preferred.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move over 100 pounds with assistance.
