As a Backend Engineer - AI Systems, you will help own the inference and orchestration layer powering AI interactions across the platform. Sitting at the intersection of AI models, backend infrastructure and end users, you will build production systems that transform model capabilities into fast, stable and observable services used across mobile and desktop applications. You will be responsible for designing and operating systems where latency, scalability, reliability, correctness and cost have a direct impact on the end-user experience.
You will help build AI backend systems capable of operating reliably at scale while maintaining low latency and high throughput. APIs and services will provide stable integration points across AI, machine learning and frontend systems, while strong observability and operational practices will enable production issues to be quickly identified and resolved. Over time, you will use real-world usage and system performance data to continuously improve the speed, reliability and scalability of the platform.
