About Company / Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established e-commerce enterprise. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, deploy, and manage complex backend systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to feature development in an agile environment using Scala (no prior experience required) and technologies such as GCP, OpenAPI, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
2. Design and build core systems within a modern microservices architecture.
3. Deliver production-ready code quickly and iterate based on feedback.
4. Collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team, providing and receiving constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
5. Drive high-impact projects shaping the product's direction and success.

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience introducing cutting-edge industry practices and technologies to improve systems and workflows.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, including how architectural choices impact scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Proven success working in cross-functional teams with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Frontend Engineers, etc.
• Strong commitment to quality, writing testable, scalable, and high-performing code.
• Ability to operate independently, navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services.
• Familiarity with Scala and its libraries.
• Experience in eCommerce or related domains is beneficial.
• Interest or experience in full-stack development, especially with React frontends, is a plus.
