Job summary

Pennsylvania Counseling Services, Inc. in Lancaster County seeks a Bachelor’s Level Family Counselor to join our Family Based program, delivering intensive, community-based support to families in need.

You will receive comprehensive ESFT training and certification opportunities. You’ll work directly with families to address children’s mental health needs, navigate crises, and collaborate with a Master’s-level mental health professional to support multiple families.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with families to address children’s mental health needs and provide therapeutic support
  • Help families navigate crises, strengthen relationships, and build a resilient support system at home
  • Partner with a Master’s-level Mental Health Professional to provide services to up to 8 families at a time
  • Assist in crisis response, case management, and weekly team supervision to enhance your clinical skills
  • Participate in an employer-paid training program to gain expertise in the ESFT model and earn valuable certification

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services, psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology, anthropology
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children and/or families in a CASSP related program (volunteer and internships count toward experience)
  • Ability to transport clients in your car (Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and car insurance)
  • Ability to provide services in a variety of locations (home, school & community)
  • Ability to be on call on a rotating schedule
  • Pennsylvania State Criminal History Check
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services
