Job description

The BSN Program Coordinator position is a full-time faculty position, with fifty percent (50 % teaching release) that reports to the Dean of Nursing. The BSN Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing aspects of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) year-level assigned, including the planning, implementing, and evaluating of the nursing program.

Responsibilities:

The BSN Program Coordinator will work closely with faculty and students to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction and works to identify and implement faculty development priorities. The BSN Program Coordinator responsibilities will include curriculum development, faculty coordination and assignment, student support, and program evaluation.

Annual teaching requirement is negotiated with the Dean of Nursing.

Job Functions:

  • Develop and oversee nursing program curricula to meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate and support faculty in delivering high-quality evidence-based education.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and help to implement improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing students at assigned year-level.
  • Collaboratively evaluates the effectiveness of student success plans, uses student data to drive changes and meet program learning outcomes.
  • Participates in mid-term and end-of-term program alignment meetings.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Missouri (a compact state)
  • Three or more years of experience as a registered professional nurse.
  • Three or more years of experience as a nursing faculty.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
  • CPR certification.

Preferred:

  • Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Previous leaderships role in nursing education.
