Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-3 years of babbitting experience preferred.

  • Maintain inventory levels and documentation for tin and Babbitt.
  • Perform Babbitt repairs and patching as needed.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Follow established processes for centrifugal casting of Babbitt on various backing materials.
  • Perform preheating and degassing of materials.
  • Maintain inventory levels and documentation for tin and Babbitt.
  • Follow all safety instructions and procedures, including wearing PPE, during pouring and casting of liquid metals.
  • Clean babbitted components before proceeding to the next operation.
  • Build, prepare, and install instrumentation wires in bearing components.
  • Perform Babbitt repairs and patching as needed.
  • Use open flame torches and TIG welders safely.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-3 years of babbitting experience preferred.
