Job summary

Silver Bay Seafoods LLC in Seward, Alaska is seeking a Baader Technician to maintain and repair Baader 182, 192, 212, and 427 processing equipment across our seafood facilities. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and assist with installations and upgrades in a demanding environment.

The role requires safety focus, lockout-tagout adherence, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Baader Certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience with Baader equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and lubricate Baader 182, 192, 212, and 427 equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Install new equipment or upgrades to existing systems.
• Monitor performance and adjust to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety regulations including lockout-tagout procedures.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes.
• Test machines to verify step motors and tooling are set up and running.
• Lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces as required.
• Travel between Alaska processing facilities during peak season.
