B2B Sales Consultant – Interior Design & Trades

Location: Chicagoland (Remote, Full-Time)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8–5 or 9–6 CST; occasional evening networking

Behind the Design is growing. We’re hiring a full-time, single-brand B2B Sales Consultant to own the sales cycle end-to-end—prospecting, discovery, closing, and ongoing relationship management—within the luxury window treatment and interior design space.

What You’ll Get
  • Year 1 projected earnings: $92,000–$137,000
  • Uncapped commission (Base + Commission or Commission-Only—your choice)

What You’ll Do
  • Prospect interior designers, firm owners, and trade decision-makers
  • Run high-value discovery calls; position consulting & recruiting solutions
  • Represent the brand at networking events, trade shows, and national conferences
  • Partner with marketing on talks, workshops, and content-driven demand
  • Manage your pipeline in the CRM from lead gen through contract & invoicing
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with past clients and new leads (calls, email, social)
  • Hit and exceed monthly closed-won targets
Who You Are
  • 3+ years B2B sales with a proven track record of hitting goals
  • Hunter–farmer who converts: prospecting, nurturing, and closing come naturally
  • Confident leading high-ticket consultative conversations
  • Excellent communicator; comfortable networking and public speaking
  • Organized, resilient, goal-driven, and collaborative; adept with remote tools/CRM
Bonus Points
  • Experience selling consulting or recruiting services
  • Background in interior design or adjacent trades (window treatments, flooring, etc.)
