Job summary

Edmond Hyundai is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair most systems with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of dealership experience and strong mechanical skills, capable of using scan tools, and meeting quality standards in a busy Service Department.

This full-time role offers pay of $29–$33 per flag hour plus performance incentives, paid training, time off, holidays, and advancement opportunities within Edmond Hyundai.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Previous dealership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to use scan tools and other diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform brake, steering, suspension, cooling, HVAC, and engine-related repairs.
• Complete multipoint inspections and accurately document vehicle conditions.
• Utilize factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.
• Follow repair orders and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Perform quality-control checks on completed repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality repair standards.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and other members of the Service Department.
• Continue developing technical skills through training and hands-on experience.
• Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
