Job summary

Alkegen in New Carlisle, IN is seeking a Fabricated Ceramic Fiber Production Operator to efficiently set up, adjust, direct, operate, and control equipment for the fabrication of ceramic fiber products. This role ensures product quality, maintains productivity, and follows safety protocols on a 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot mixed equipment and tooling.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, direct, operate, and control equipment for fabricated ceramic fiber production.
• Mix materials according to specifications.
• Operate power material handling equipment including forklifts and bobcat.
• Prepare daily production schedules and reports.
• Perform minor adjustments for weight and size.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems.
• Stage packaging and finished goods.
• Maintain clean, safe, orderly workplace; follow 5S and safety rules.
• Direct and train personnel of lesser skill.
• Coordinate with supervisors, QA, Shipping on production, quality and safety.

Come grow with us!Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to efficiently set up, adjust, direct, operate, and control various equipment in the production of fabricated ceramic fiber products, as well as related auxiliary equipment and duties; to ensure desired product quality and quantity; to maintain productivity standards; and to ensure a safe operation.This position reports directly to the Fabricated (FAB) Products Supervisor but is also directed by the A OIC (Operator-In-Charge).
