Job Summary:

Engage children in activities designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and developmental growth to help reach School Readiness Goals. Utilize the Program Curriculum to work daily with children on individual educational goals and collaborate with families to support their child's educational success.

Compensation:

$19.82 per hour.

The Signing Bonus is paid in two installments:

1. The first installment is paid on your first paycheck.
2. The second installment is paid after successful completion of your 90-day probationary period.

Eligibility for Signing Bonus:

• Available for select positions indicated on the job posting.
• Current employee department transfers are not eligible.
• Employees who resigned or were dismissed within the past 12 months are not eligible.

Minimum Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Washington State Early Childhood Education Certificate or CDA preferred.
• An Associate or higher degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is preferred.

Minimum Related Experience:

• At least six months of work experience with children (birth to age 5) and families in childcare, education, classroom, or related fields.

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites:

• Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Blood Borne Pathogens Certification.
• Food Handlers Permit.
• Compliance with department’s MMR vaccination policy.
• Successful passing of a physical exam prior to hire.
• 30 hours of STARS training, with a 30-day period to obtain.
• Ability to pass an agility exam to demonstrate physical capability for job functions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks, including MERIT background check.

Terms of Employment:

This is a regular full-time position.
