Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Azure XDR and Sentinel Infrastructure Engineer to support security operations across the NAVINTEL enterprise in Suitland, MD. The role focuses on engineering, administering, monitoring, and sustaining Microsoft Defender (XDR) and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR environments at enterprise scale.

Qualified candidates will have 8+ years in cybersecurity or related fields, hold Active TS/SCI clearance, and possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Extensive cyber infrastructure or security tool engineering experience.
• Experience supporting Computer Network Defense operations and technologies.
• Proven ability to design, develop, integrate, and operate cybersecurity technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Azure cloud services, log ingestion, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, incident response, RMF, STIG/SRG, and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain Defender and Sentinel integrations, analytics, data connectors, RBAC models, and platform health.
• Support lifecycle operations including upgrades, troubleshooting, detections, automation, and Tier III incident response.
• Design Azure cloud architecture supporting Zero Trust tools and secure monitoring pipelines.
• Develop and maintain diagrams, SOPs, configuration baselines, automation, and operational reports.
