Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an Azure SysOps Architect to lead the design, deployment, and operations of secure Azure infrastructure in Jacksonville, FL.

This role centers on implementing IaC with Bicep/Terraform, building scalable landing zones, and maintaining DevOps workflows to support continuous delivery. The ideal candidate will drive security hardening, automate Day 2 operations, and participate in incident response while collaborating across cross‑functional teams to align delivery models.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and/or Terraform), including codifying security controls.
• Experience designing and implementing secure Azure platform and application landing zones.
• Proficiency in automating Day 2 operational and security tasks for cloud applications.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevSecOps tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure and Octopus Deploy, including deploying and managing App Services, .NET web apps, Azure SQL Databases, and related services, with security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implements and operates Azure infrastructure using Bicep (IaC).
• Supports cloud cost optimization and capacity planning.
• Participates in incident response and root‑cause analysis for infrastructure and cloud issues.
• Drives automation of monitoring, alerting, and remediation workflows.
• Builds and deploys containerized workloads; manages scaling, upgrades, and patching.
• Takes part in on‑call rotation for critical infrastructure services.
