Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and Azure database platforms.
• Administer Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Design and implement scalable database architectures across Azure and on‑premises.
• Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and configuration across DBMSs.
• Develop and implement HA/DR strategies.
• Configure replication, backup, recovery, and migration solutions.
• Monitor performance and availability with Azure Monitor.
• Implement database security policies and manage credentials with Azure Key Vault.
• Establish data exchange standards and data security models.
• Collaborate with IT development/architecture teams to align with business needs.
• Prepare documentation covering installation, monitoring, security, migration, procedures.
• Provide Tier III support and resolve complex issues.
• Mentor junior DBAs and team members with guidance and documentation.
• Participate in DR, Business Resumption, and Incident Response activities when required.
